It is situated 100 km NW of Piatra Neamţ in Ceahlău commune at the foot of Ceahlău Mountain (800 m altitude). There you can visit the Durău Monastery painted by a famous romanian painter, Nicolae Tonitza, you can schi or you can climb the mountain (1907 m high) to admire the sightseens and Duruitoarea waterfall (25 m ahigh).
